Write for Muniblogs
Know Indian home appliances inside out? Write for our readers.
Muniblogs publishes honest, practical guides on ACs, coolers, kitchen appliances, water purifiers, washing machines and power backup for Indian homes. If you’ve used, installed, serviced or sold these products, I’d like to hear your pitch.
Who reads Muniblogs
Most readers aren’t engineers. They’re Indian families about to spend a big amount on an appliance, often in the middle of a heatwave or just before a festive sale. Write for them.
- First-time buyersFamilies buying their first AC, fridge or washing machine who want plain answers, not spec-sheet jargon.
- Budget-focused householdsReaders comparing prices in rupees, weighing EMI against paying upfront, and checking what a higher star rating really saves on the electricity bill.
- Renters and small homesPeople in 1BHK and 2BHK flats who need compact, portable or easy-to-shift appliances.
- Climate-aware buyersReaders in humid coastal cities, dry North Indian summers and hard-water areas, where the right pick depends on where you live.

What gets accepted, and what doesn’t
I’m looking for
- Hands-on experience: you’ve used, installed, repaired or sold the appliances you write about
- Real numbers: prices in ₹, star ratings, units consumed per year, room sizes in sq ft
- India-specific detail: voltage fluctuation, hard water, monsoon humidity, after-sales service in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities
- Honest trade-offs, including the downsides of products you like
I won’t publish
- Anything outside home appliances, including crypto, betting, casinos, adult content, loans, pharma and supplements
- AI-generated, spun or previously published articles. Every draft is checked for plagiarism and machine-written text
- Press releases or brand promotions dressed up as articles
- Pitches with no topic or outline. “Can I write for you?” emails don’t get a reply
- Hidden links or undisclosed ties to brands mentioned in the post
Writing guidelines
Please read these before you pitch. Drafts that ignore them go back for a rewrite or get declined.
- 100% originalNever published anywhere else, including your own blog, Medium or LinkedIn, and not republished after it goes live here.
- 1,500 to 2,500 wordsLong enough to fully answer the reader’s question. Buying guides can run longer if every section earns its place.
- Clear structureH2 sections, H3 sub-sections, short paragraphs, and tables or bullet lists where they help. I add the page title myself.
- Sound like a personFirst-hand detail beats generic advice. Name the model, the city, the bill and the problem you ran into. Skip filler openers and buzzwords.
- Back up your claimsLink a manufacturer spec sheet, BEE star-rating data or a credible publication for every statistic, price or technical claim.
- Current models and pricesUse model numbers and approximate prices from the month you submit. I verify them again before publishing.
- Suggest internal linksPoint to two or three existing Muniblogs guides your article can link to. I’ll place them naturally while editing.
- End with an FAQFour to six questions a real buyer would ask, each answered in two or three sentences.
Image guidelines
- One featured image at 1200 × 675 px (16:9), in WebP or JPG, compressed below 200 KB
- In-article photos or infographics at least 1000 px wide, each under 200 KB
- Your own photos and screenshots, or royalty-free images with a clear licence. No watermarks, and nothing copied from other blogs or shopping listings
- Descriptive alt text for every image, such as “5-star inverter split AC mounted above a bedroom window” rather than “AC image”
- Images sent as separate files or a shared Google Drive folder, not pasted inside the document
Guest post or sponsored post
There are two ways to contribute. Both are labelled honestly and follow Google’s link guidelines and the ASCI code on disclosing paid content.
Free
Editorial guest post
For writers and experts who want a byline in front of Indian appliance buyers.
- Author bio with your name, photo and one link to your website or profile, marked rel=”nofollow”
- Bio link anchor text is your name or brand, not a keyword
- No links to your own sites inside the article
- No payment in either direction
- Accepted selectively, only when the piece clearly helps readers
Paid
Sponsored post
For brands and agencies that want contextual links inside a helpful article.
- Up to two contextual links in the article, marked rel=”sponsored”
- Clearly labelled as sponsored at the top of the post
- Same editorial standards. I may edit or decline a piece that doesn’t suit readers
- No links to gambling, adult, crypto, loan or pharma sites, and no redirects or hidden links
- Rates shared by email on request
A note on links: Muniblogs doesn’t sell unmarked dofollow links. Paid links without the right attribute break Google’s spam policies and put both your site and mine at risk.

Send your pitch
Fields marked * are required. Send the pitch first, not the full article.
A strong pitch includes
- A specific working title, not just a broad topic
- The reader it’s for and the question it answers
- Three to six planned H2 sections
- Why you’re the right person to write it
- Two or three Muniblogs guides it could link to
Not sure which topics are already covered? Browse the blog first, so you don’t pitch something I’ve just published.
The fine print
- CopyrightYou keep the copyright. By submitting, you give Muniblogs a permanent, non-exclusive licence to publish, edit, update and share the article on the site, newsletter and social channels, and you confirm the work is your own.
- Editing rightsI may edit for accuracy, clarity, SEO and links, refresh prices and models over time, and decline or unpublish any post that turns out to be inaccurate or breaks these guidelines.
- DisclosureTell me in writing about any connection to a brand you mention, whether as an employee, dealer, paid promoter, investor or relative. A disclosure line will be added, as explained in the affiliate disclosure.
- Your dataYour name, email, bio and photo are kept only for your author profile. Ask at any time and the byline can change to “Guest Contributor”. See the privacy policy.
Frequently asked questions
Do you pay guest writers?
No. Editorial guest posts are unpaid; you get a byline, an author bio and exposure to an audience actively shopping for appliances. Sponsored posts are a separate arrangement where the brand or contributor pays.
Will I get a dofollow backlink?
Guest posts include one author-bio link marked nofollow. Sponsored posts include up to two links marked sponsored. Both follow Google’s current guidance, which protects your site as much as mine.
Can I add my own affiliate links?
No. Product links in published posts are added by me and use Muniblogs’ own affiliate tags, which are disclosed on every page.
Can I use AI tools?
For research and outlining, yes. The final text must be written and fact-checked by you. Drafts that read as machine-written are declined.
How long until my post goes live?
Pitches that fit get a reply within 5–7 business days. Once your draft is in, editing and scheduling usually take one to two weeks.
Can I republish the article on my own site?
No, it must stay exclusive to Muniblogs. You’re welcome to share a short excerpt with a link back to the full post.
Can I request changes or removal later?
Factual corrections are welcome at any time by email. Published posts are removed only for legal reasons, but your byline can be changed to “Guest Contributor” and your personal details deleted on request.
Do you accept articles in Tamil or Hindi?
Not right now. Muniblogs publishes in English only, so please pitch and write in English.
