Affiliate Disclosure

Affiliate disclosure

How Muniblogs earns money, in plain words.

Some links on this site earn me a small commission. You never pay more, and commissions never decide what I recommend.

Last updated: 4 October 2026

As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

Muniblogs is a participant in the Amazon Associates programme for Amazon.in, an affiliate advertising programme that lets sites earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.in.

The short version

  • Amazon product links on this site are affiliate links.
  • If you buy after clicking one, Amazon pays me a small commission. Your price stays exactly the same.
  • Commission rates play no part in what I recommend.
  • The site also shows display ads served by Google AdSense.
  • Sponsored content and free products are always disclosed.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link tells the retailer that you came from Muniblogs. If you buy something after clicking one, the retailer pays me a small percentage of the sale. The percentage depends on the product category, and it comes from the retailer, not from you.

Which programmes I use

Right now, the only affiliate programme on this site is Amazon Associates for Amazon.in. If I join another programme, such as Flipkart’s, I’ll add it to this page before I use its links.

How to spot affiliate links

  • “Check price” and “Buy on Amazon” buttons
  • Product names and images that link to Amazon
  • Product links in comparison tables
  • Any other link that takes you to Amazon.in
  • Every post that contains affiliate links also includes a disclosure note.

Display advertising

Muniblogs shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google chooses which ads appear, and I don’t control them. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your interests. The privacy policy explains how this works and how to opt out, and Google explains how it uses information from sites like this one.

If a brand pays for a post or sends me a product, the post says so clearly at the start, labelled as sponsored or as a product provided by the brand. The brand doesn’t get to approve or change my verdict.

How recommendations are chosen

Recommendations are based on specifications, BEE star ratings, warranty and service network, verified owner reviews and, where a guide says so, my own use. Commission rates play no part. If the best product for you earns me nothing, I still recommend it, and I’ll say so when a product has real problems.

Prices

Prices mentioned on this site are approximate and were checked when the guide was written or updated. Amazon’s prices change often, so the price shown at checkout is the one that applies.

The rules this follows

These disclosures follow the ASCI Guidelines for Influencer Advertising in Digital Media, the Central Consumer Protection Authority’s 2022 guidelines on misleading advertisements and endorsements, and the Amazon Associates Program Operating Agreement. For readers outside India, they also follow the US Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides.

Common questions

Do I pay more if I use your links?

No. The price is the same whether you use my link or go to Amazon directly. The commission comes from Amazon.

Does a commission change your verdict?

No. Guides recommend what suits Indian homes, and they point out a product’s weaknesses whether or not it earns me anything.

What if a product you recommended disappoints me?

Please tell me at admin@muniblogs.com. If the problem looks widespread, I’ll update the guide and warn other readers.
